Crappy quality for the fact I took a picture of the screen with my phone.
But, pretty much done!
I’ll look at it again with fresh eyes come tomorrow. ;)
8 hours later … LINE ART!
Coloring and a few other minor edits to come tomorrow.
And yes. Some appropriate music to go with.
Woohoo! After a year of working — and waiting to work — I’ve finally finished my Elektra piece!
I’ll be printing it and framing it in the near future and will bring it with me to Portland come December. Hope Martin is ready for a random present.
Here are some finished and in process work of things I’ve worked on for a few months — and even a few hours today! Suddenly got hit with inspiration. I’ve been needing it though. Life’s been odd without drawing. Need to get back in to the swing of things.
This in particular is the Elektra piece I’ve been working on since November. And I did a little fun picture for my friend Lea. ;)
I’ve been having this imagery in mind since I finished my Thesis. And apparently tonight was the night to start drawing it out. A simple mock up for now — aside the drawing of Misha Collins/Castiel. I’ll work on the fire at another time — along with Elektra probably.
Got a swift kick in the rear via Mister Martin French saying I needed to draw more. And I most certainly believe him! So here’s to me starting to draw more again. Because, this is what I want to do. And drawing things, to start with, that I enjoy? Not a bad start.
Now time for sleep. Because … it’s almost 3 AM. And I work tomorrow. :P
About a 4 Hour Sketching spree of the characters Derek Hale and Stiles Stilinski from MTV’s Teen Wolf.
Nothing like a bit of a warm up after how many months of not drawing?
The beginnings of a continuation of the possible Series of Comic Women. You all remember Lois, right? I’ll start actually drawing Elektra tomorrow. Just getting the basis of the background today. :)
Well, this next one is actually a gift for a fellow artist and an amazing mentor. I hope to get this finished in the week. And send it off to him for a Christmas gift.
Either way: Let the beginnings of a series of DC and Marvel women begin!
Also, if any of you have a particular DC woman that you think I should do for the next one. Hit me up with ideas! :)
Bond, James Bond.
So here is the basically finished product for my contribution to the POP! 2 Year Anniversary Art Show at the LtD Gallery on Capitol Hill in Seattle, WA.
I had a blast doing this. Looking up all the various James Bond Actors. And of course, this is rather design-y and had to make sure things worked out.
And I need to go back and rewatch a bunch of movies! I muuuuust.
Simple. And straight to the point.
Sorta like James.
This will be for sale at the show — via their Gallery and the Gallery site. If you want the original print, framed, please go there and buy it! It won’t be up for another week and a half, but keep it in mind.
This is a project that I participated in back in May, right before graduation. It’s great to see all the other pieces from the Illustration Department. We represented well, PNCA!
