Today went great!
Had over 230+ that came down to the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture for the entire Super Saturday. And (lucky me) I was the first thing that they saw! I had a lot of people stop by and just discuss art; my process, sketching, school, and even comics! And who doesn’t like testing out how a tablet works?? Had a lot of younger kids try it out and it was fun to just see them try and get the hang of it.
It was an amazing time and an amazing turn out. I hope to do something like this again soon. Or possibly start doing Cons now that I have a bit more time to do art that isn’t quite for gallery shows.
Thanks to everyone out of my family and friends that showed up. I truly appreciate the support!
In the Spokesman Review again!
This time, in the 7 Planner section.
It’s very surreal that this and my own artwork (See this Post) has been seen by probably thousands of people. And it will be even more surreal when people show up at the Museum to talk to me and watch me do artwork. We’re hoping for a great turn out given that Spokane Schools are super behind this. And it’s supposed to be a beautiful day tomorrow. Oh, and did I mention: Free Admission??
Well! I was in the Spokesman Review for an ad for the Museum of Arts and Culture here in Spokane; the MAC. I work there, but I am also humbled to be one of the artists that will be doing live demonstrations this coming Saturday (Sept. 20th) at the Free Family Saturday — Super Saturday!
The basis of the day is comic book related things. And given that a good portion of my Portfolio is based in comic book-related things, or just Pop Culture, the Museum wanted to give me a little love and have me be one of the guests.
I’ll be in the Lobby of the Museum. Set up with a TV that will be connected to my laptop to show me as I do some artwork. If you are in the Spokane area and have nothing to do this Saturday? Stop by and say hello! And give a little love to the Museum and the Arts!
Piece in process for the August show at LTD Gallery.
Trying to bust this out in the next couple of days. Might even do a stream of coloring if anyone is up for it. ;)
Just got some artwork back from a show. And I am lowering the price, along with offering this special deal only on Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr!
Throw me a message on here or throw an e-mail to me at email@example.com. :)
For ltdartgallery's show WHOA … GNARLY!
I’m a sucker for Power Rangers. And I’m pretty sure Alpha 5 was the sassiest god damn robot in the 90s. Give or take.
Some personal work that was done for a CD Commission for a client.
All done in Photoshop CS5.
8 to 10 hours of work.
— Mystique from Marvel’s X-Men.
Next piece is already half way there.
7+ hours on it and THISISALLYOUGET.
Crappy quality for the fact I took a picture of the screen with my phone.
But, pretty much done!
I’ll look at it again with fresh eyes come tomorrow. ;)
